Introduction : A journey by train is very pleasant and enjoyable to me. A few days I made a journey by train from Dhaka to Chittagong. Some of my friends were with me.
Occasion : On the last winter vacation one of my friends asked me to attend his sister’s wedding in Chittagong.. So, I decided to go there by a train. Two other friends joined me.
Beginning of the journey: On the fixed day we reached the Kamalapur rail way station at 7 a.m. The station was very crowded. Somehow we managed to buy our tickets. With great difficulty we got into our compartment.
After a few seconds the guard blew the whistle and the train began to move. At first it moved on slowly. Then it gained full speed.
Scenery enjoy : My seat was beside a window. I kept looking outside through the window. The train was passing through the green fields.
Dew drops on green grasses were glittering like pearls Trees and houses seemed to move behind quickly. I saw the farmers working in the field. Cattle were grazing here and there.
Village women were working in the yards. Small children were playing. The train touched at some big stations. In one station we bought boiled eggs, bananas and magazines from the hawkers.
When the train started from Feni station, the beautiful hills of Chittagong came to our view. On the right I saw the vast sheet of water of the Bay of Bengal. All these pleased me very much.
Destination : After a long journey the train touched Chittagong at 5 p.m. We all got down from the train. I was surprised to see my friend waiting for us at the station. He became very pleased to see us.
Conclusion : This is the first time I made a long journey by train. From the beginning to the end I enjoyed the journey. Surely, the journey will remain ever fresh in my mind.
