INDEPENDENCE DAY OBSERVED WITH ENTHUSIASM

The Independence and National Day of Bangladesh was observed at Noakhali Zilla School on March 26 with due respect and enthusiasm. The school campus was decorated with national flags, festoons, and placards, creating a festive atmosphere.
The programme began at 8:00 a.m. with the hoisting of the national flag by the Headmaster. Teachers and students then sang the national anthem together. A discussion meeting was held at 10:00 a.m. in the school auditorium, presided over by the Headmaster, with the Deputy Commissioner (DC) attending as the Chief Guest.
Speakers highlighted the importance of Independence Day and paid tribute to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the martyrs of the Liberation War. They also discussed how the spirit of 1971 continues to influence the nation’s progress and identity.
A cultural programme followed, featuring patriotic songs, poetry recitations, and a short drama based on the Liberation War. The performances were warmly appreciated by the audience.
The celebration ended at 1:30 p.m. with a vote of thanks, and sweets were distributed among the students and guests.
