Subject: Urgent Prayer for Relief Goods for the Flood-Affected People of Sonaimuri
Dear Sir,
I am writing on behalf of the residents of Sonaimuri Upazila to draw your attention to the severe difficulties caused by the recent flood. What initially appeared to be a seasonal disaster has now developed into a serious humanitarian crisis for many families in our area.
Large parts of the locality remain submerged, forcing thousands of people to leave their homes and seek temporary shelter in schools, on embankments, and in other safer places. Access to clean drinking water has become increasingly limited, while food supplies are running low. As a result, many people, particularly children and the elderly, seem to be facing significant health risks. There are also growing concerns about the spread of water-borne diseases.
Given these circumstances, immediate assistance is urgently needed. Relief materials such as dry food, safe drinking water, water purification tablets, oral saline, and essential medicines could help reduce the suffering of the affected people and prevent the situation from worsening further.
I would, therefore, respectfully request that necessary relief goods be allocated and distributed among the flood victims at the earliest possible time.
